a jaundiced eye: special feature

Submit your favorite compliant site to the Gallery of Unimaginative Navigational Kludges! Or, if you are the webmaster of a GUNK-worthy site, submit your own! Do your part to reduce the Web to a series of identical user experiences, cutting down on wasteful relearning and freeing the user from the horrors of engaging, "creative" design.

It's easy! Here's how:

First,

Secondly, tell us the name we should use to list the site. If it is a personal site, tell us whose site it is. If it is a corporate site, tell us the name of the corporation (with department in parens if necessary).

Thirdly, give us the URL of the site you wish to nominate:

Please feel free to tell us who you are:

and give us an email address so we may link in a mailto.

(I worked on this site myself!)

These last steps are, of course, optional.

Finally, submit your nomination.

We here at a jaundiced eye will review the submissions periodically to ensure that they meet our high quality standards, and that they do in fact utilize consistent, uninventive design and navigation.

Once a site has been certified, we will publish it in our Gallery for the world to see. We fully expect to become a Yahoo of good, consistently designed sites - the place where people who are tired of learning a new interface can come to surf unimpeded by creative outbursts such as have been associated with the San Francisco and New York "interactive media" cabals.

Thanks for helping us make the Web a safer place to surf!
